"Suddenly, ninjas appeared."

She was a senior citizen who disliked going to the grocery without her lucky green Marks & Spencer Limited Edition underwear. But one day, she found that her lucky underwear had been stolen. She didn't realize that it was accidentally misplaced by her ex-husband, Mr. Tuffles, and it was actually an imitation of someone else's old Barbie panties. One day after she tried to contact her ex-husband, his latest wife called her back and admitted to being a ninja and was assigned to finding her missing underwear within a month or just die trying.

Thus begins the legendary search for the amazing missing Marks & Spencer Limited Edition underwear. With the help of her new cat, Mrs. Tuffles, our daring protagonist went first to the scene of the crime. According to the collected information, she was no where newar the suspected place of misplacement when the cat sniffed something that was fishy. It lead her to the first floor where there was a tuna sandwich being prepared. The cat tried to snatch the sandwich, but was intercepted by another much larger cat. It snarled in disgust when the larger cat ate the sandwich, but Mrs. Tuffles reminded the other cat they still had more sandwiches and their mission was still ongoing.

Disgruntled, the cat went to look again for the most helpful evidence. The search got warmer when the trail led them to an important room: the nursery. Suddenly, ninjas appeared. They have kunais. They are after the infamous sandwich which actually has the secret ingredient needed in creating the perfect jutsu. They also needed a volunteer for finding more ingredients.

She agreed to help, in exchange for helping her find her underwear. They merely stared at her in disbelief, but they eventually agreed. They lent her Pakkun, but Mrs. Tuffles's allergic to dogs. She decided to learn the ninja way of getting to the lost temple of Anti-Allergy. After four months, she was still allergic to dogs, and her underwear was still missing.

Sadly, this story is the end.

Post overdue I

Woah. When was the last time I updated?

Ugh. No wonder I've been receiving threats again.

Anyway, here's part one.

10 ways the Saiyuki Boys showed they cared

Exhibit No. 1: Glomp

The minute she opened the door a blur of yellow and gold tackled her into the floor, all the while yelling "WE MISS YOU NATA-CHAN!!!!" in her ear while she desperately tried to tell the others via hand gestures that she couldn't breathe properly.

Exhibit No. 2: Death Threat

"Oi, it's two o'clock in the morning," Gojyo remarked.

"Clocks here are ten minutes advanced. It's actually only one fifty." she explained, eyes glued to the monitor and hands flying across the keyboard.

"Rii," Hakkai said in warning.

Said girl turned to him and noticed his narrowed eyes. Her glance then focused on a snoring Goku who has happily curled up in her bed. "Oops, sorry." She resumed working, hands notably producing lesser tiptap noise.

Both men looked at the last person in exasperation.

"Tch,"

Rii's hands stilled when she felt cool metal against her temple.

"Choose."

She shot him a nasty glare, hands automatically pressing the necessary keys to save her files and shut the computer down. She didn't need a bitchfest, damnit, but she wouldn't be able to finish her projects with a bullet in her head, either.

"There," she grumbled as she stood up and cracked stiff joints. "You boys owe me coffee and Earl Grey tomorrow morning for this."

"Don't worry, Rii-chan," Hakkai soothed, kissing her cheek as she moved to the other unoccupied half of her bed. "I'll make brea - oh dear."

Rii fell face first on the mattress and was instantly asleep.

Exhibit No. 3: Honest Opinion

"Why does Nata-chan look like one of that crazy doctor's experiments-gone-wrong?" Goku asked, unaware of the glass of ice water held precariously above his head.

Exhibit No. 4: Sacrifice

"Nata-chan look!" an excited Goku dragged her into the kitchen. "I reserved the last slice of pizza for you!"

Rii, fully aware that the pizza just arrived five minutes ago, was touched.

Exhibit No. 5: Pamper

For the next few days, Rii was re-introduced to haute cuisine and sinful desserts. After every meal, she's torn between appreciation ("Hakkai, you spoil me too much."), wonder ("Where did you get the ingredients?"), and gluttony ("May we have creppes again later?").

Exhibit No. 6: Pillow

Hakkai would sit next to her and watch her work. Sometimes, they would talk, he maintaining an idleness to the topic so as not to completely distract her. Sometimes, he would ask about certain details in her project. More often than not however, he would be content to lounge there until the tapping of her fingers lulled him to a light slumber.

If he's lucky, she wouldn't mind him making her lap a temporary pillow.

Exhibit No. 7: Distraction

"You have a kunai set?" Gojyo asked in surprise.

Rii looked up from her, surprise surprise, drafts. "Yeah. So?"

"You know how to use them?"

"No, they're just for display. I only forgot to frame them." She rolled her eyes. "No duh, genius. Of course I know how."

Her eyes narrowed in suspicion at his smirk. At his next words, they narrowed even more but a sly grin escaped her lips.

"Let's spar."

Her work remained untouched for the next five hours.

Exhibit No. 8: Mind Reading

They always knew the exact moment she's in too deep in concentration. No, not the healthy one which induces revelations to pop up. It's the one which may cause the thinker to go bonkers any minute later.

They then do things to bring her out of it.

Goku would yell his usual "I'm hungry!" while being right behind her, or randomly demand a hug from her "right now!".

Gojyo would drop cigar smoke on her shoulder, or arm, or hair, or even face, and call it an accident, or (as aforementioned) provoke her to sparring with him.

Sanzo would shoot at the wall adjacent to her computer ("I was aiming for the kappa's head." "Hey!"), force her at gunpoint to stay away from her workplace for an hour or two (subtlety at its finest), or pull a Gojyo and blow smoke to her ear.

Hakkai would suddenly comment on how shaggy her hair looked ("It's always shaggy, Hakkai.") and proceed to comb it, or kiss her because he happened to pass by, or prepare a tea whenever she has just even began considering one.

Needless to say she favored Hakkai's ways the most.

Exhibit No. 9: Companionship

"You do this all the time?"
"Uh-huh. When I have time, or pretend I have."
"What about when it rains?"
"All the better."
"You're weird, you know that?"
"Yes. But at least I don't sit here to check out my hot neighbor."
"Hey! I wasn't checking her out. I just ...saw her."

And that is one of their episodes while lounging on Rii's roof. Living on the top floor has its perks.

Exhibit No. 10: Bluntness

"Stop abusing yourself, Rii."
"Hakkai..."
"People will think I'm neglecting my girl."

Rii simply couldn't find a reply to that.

YEY! Part one done!

There, Ceres-chan. Now you know snippets of what the boys do at my home. :D

8:58 PM

Snippets: He said. She said.

She suddenly laughed at the sheer irony.

He frowned at his pity-party companion. "I fail to see the humor." he remarked.

She eventually quieted down and shook her head, hair lightly spraying droplets of rain around her. Once the adrenaline induced by her laughter receded, her body once again felt cold with her drenched attire. Rubbing her arms to produce some heat, she turned to him.

"For a scholar, you sure are narrow-minded at times." she said.

"You haven't answered me yet."

'Was there even a question?' She suppressed the urge to retort, figuring her companion wouldn't appreciate one.

"Forgetting doesn't always work, you know." she began, sobering immediately. "And with my kind of job, it never will. You'll more likely forget your sanity first."

She reached out for the window with her uninjured arm and let the droplets fall on her outstretched hand.

"The most I could do is let those memories be, popping up in my head at will. It's one of the small ways I feel I could atone for my sins. It just so happens that the rain eases the burden for me. Perhaps it's only the numbness I'm talking about, I don't know."

She could feel his gaze, but she refused to face him. She knew full well what her words might mean to him.

'Make up your mind, teacher. Indecision is a luxury we cannot afford.'

What the title says. It's a snippet. Of what? I don't know.

Really. No plot, no sequel (ha, as if), nothing.

Just that.

Gawd, that scene has been bothering me since morning. X__X
